UN Periódico in English in circulation

Like the previous edition, this version of the UN Periódico in English is focused on science and technology, with a global impact that looks to offer the English speaking population information about scientific investigation and technological advances at the University Nacional de Colombia.

The cover theme of this edition is dedicated to the great botanical garden of the Universidad Nacional, in which people can find botanical gardens, arboretum, natural reserves and agricultural centers located all over the national territory thanks to the presence of the eight campuses of Universidad Nacional.

Furthermore, it has sections dedicated to biofuel and genetics. The section about genetics commemorates the tenth anniversary of the Human Genome Project, which continues to generate controversial opinions amongst the academic community.

Likewise, the section about biofuels describes the latest advances achieved by research groups in sites located in Manizales and Bogotá, in relation to the new combustible substitutes made from waste and algae.

The UN Periódico in English is designed to be distributed to educational institutes, embassies, and non-governmental and international organizations, inside and out of the country.
