The new staff is to work in both undergraduate and graduate programs, participating actively in academic development, as well as in research and extension projects.
"We want to remind foreign teachers and professors that they have to send the documents with an official translation. They do not have to send the original documents. If they are abroad and want to participate, they can send the digitalized documents attached in an e-mail" said Alexandra Montoya, national coordinator of the Enrollment Competition.
The vice-presidency also said that if the applicant teacher for professor holds a pre-graduated or post-graduated title abroad, in a foreign language, this language would be certified immediately; otherwise, a foreign language certification has to be included.
Additionally, certifications of teaching experience and professional studies have to be sent. Those applicants for professorial chairs per hours have to include, in addition to the work programme, a research project.
The coordinator also recommends reading the conditions for each vacancy, since each faculty has its own specific requirements. "It is very important for applicants to understand that if they apply for a position in a specific campus, they have to remain there. If the position the applicant is applying is in Orinoquia, he or she would have to work in Arauca"s campus" mention Montoya.
It is important that applicants send complete documentation up to the deadline. The general vice-presidency affirms that any document sent after the limit date will not be accepted.
Working with Universidad Nacional de Colombia is a unique opportunity for young professors determined to start or continue a teaching or research career.
