Water waste is one of the main issues of traditional car washes.

The app allows users to choose the time they want to wash their car and inclusively program dates on the calendar for the whole year.

The initiative has the support of the UNal InnovaTE entrepreneurial program and the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce.

The process carried out through a mobile app called FitCars has three simple steps: Choosing the service (general wash, wash plus or car polishing), choosing an address (through the GPS), choosing allies and prices and finally accepting the service. 

“After a short processing the app finds allied drivers to take the vehicle to our car wash,” said Universidad Nacional de Colombia (UNal) Engineering alum and cofounder of FitCars, Julián León.

“All are dry wash delivery services and by using the app users will have a clean car at home, work or a mall. Furthermore we increased the amount of customers of our ally companies and the most important and essential for Colombia and the planet: it is eco-friendly as it uses very little water,” said León. 

The creators have completely developed the app and will soon start a plot test for two months to validate the service. 

“We are selling time and saving time for our customers so they can take this time and devote it to their friends and families with the assurance that their cars are in good hands and clean,” he added. 

This app arose from the UNal Faculty of Engineering Project Management Course and has the support of the UNal InnovaTE entrepreneurial program and the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce thanks to a program called Bogotá Emprende (Bogotá Undertakes)
